Cattleya Home & Garden was born from the hearts and hands of the Cambizaca siblings Nela, Giomy, and Juan who grew up in the misty mountains of Limón, Ecuador, where tending the land was not a hobby, but a way of life. Their earliest memories are of walking home from school, gathering wild Cattleya orchids to surprise their mother. Those small moments of love and beauty became the roots of the garden center you will find here today.

After making Fairfield County their home, the siblings brought with them not only their deep knowledge of plants, but the values that shaped their childhood: family, hospitality, and a belief that community is something you grow every day.

Decades of Expertise, Shared with Heart

Nela, the eldest, has spent more than twenty years mastering nursery management specializing in annuals, perennials, and the tender tropicals beloved by New England gardeners. Her gift is knowing exactly what each plant needs and guiding customers with warmth and confidence.

Giomy brings an artist’s eye to landscape design. Her team transforms both residential and commercial properties into curated outdoor sanctuaries. Her reputation for exceptional service is woven through years of trust from local families and businesses.

Juan’s experience as an estate management and caretaker gives him a unique understanding of full-property stewardship from orchards and lawns to seasonal garden rhythms and land long-term property planning.

Together, they bring a rare depth of knowledge an entire ecosystem of expertise rooted in dedication and shared with joy.
